Over the Easter break, we drove to Melbourne to see family that we hadn't seen in over five years. In the car, I started scrolling through Tik Tok and it quickly learned that I was watching videos about food in Melbourne, so it started showing me so many places that I wanted to visit. If you haven't already, follow us on our new Tik Tok channel here.
My first stop was the Instea store, which had tea stored in little perfume-shaped glass bottles. Not only did they look beautiful glistening in the light, but they tasted very fruity too.
Following that, I wanted to try Rainbow Toastie's rainbow cheese toastie, as recommended on my Tik Tok feed, which was located in an alleyway. The colours of the oozing rainbow cheese streaks seemed so vibrant and appealing. It was available in strawberry or garlic flavour, I chose strawberry, and it was delicious!
In this case, it wouldn't have been a proper gift from me if I didn't include something meaningful for my niece I hadn't seen in over 5 years, so it was only fitting to give her the Success Necklace by Arti in honour of her accomplishments. Her ambition to become an architect makes this design an ideal fit for her headstrong nature. To say she loved it would be an understatement.
Prior to driving home, we tried out the Monsterz Ink escape room game at Rush Escape Games. Our family loves escape rooms, and we do them as often as possible. They encourage participants to use their critical thinking skills as well as work together as a team. Escape rooms offer an opportunity to learn about yourself as well as each other. I highly recommend it if you have not tried one yet.
Seeing my family and visiting Melbourne was great. In what state (or country) are you located and what is the best place you recommend for a visit?
